I just love everything about Dr Arakal and his team who were wonderful with my whole process of the road of surgery and recovery. I can walk again and before I was out of the hospital, I knew my surgery was a success and I didnt any more pain medicine from my post op appointment on. This was my husband’s second surgery with Dr. Arkal. Dr. Arakal presents the most amazing bed-side manner of any doctor I have ever met. His knowledge of his specialty is insurmountably the best in the industry. His staff was extraordinary in scheduling and communication. We would, without a doubt, recommend Dr. Arakal and his staff to our family and friends.
Paid $30k out of pocket for artificial disc replacement in neck. Pain never left. Was told "this is the same surgery they gave to Peyton Manning". No follow up. No PT. Then 10 years after the fact i had an MRI done only to find out that was a waste of money too bc there were "remnants" left behind from the surgery (MRI was a blur). Called Arakal's office to ask what that meant. Left a message. Then the guy called me back, berated me for not having insurance (by choice) and then HE SENT ME A BILL FOR THE PHONE CALL! DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. I scheduled with him 3 months before my appointment because that was the soonest they could get me in for my back. I arrived 30 min early to my appointment but then waited TWO HOURS after my appointment time before they moved me into a room. Then I waited another HOUR before I finally had enough and walked out.
