First time patient. Heard the desk staff joking about a patient wanting a question answered. My appt. was at 10:30, finally saw Dr. Jones at 11:40. Did about a 10 minute physical exam and told me I needed sacroiliac surgery. Lateral-Oblique SU Transfixation Technique, or Sacri for short. He handed me a card with information from the manufacturer. No X-ray, no MRI, just a short physical exam. I'm not willing to let him cut me open and put screws in my back with so little information. I just had a procedure done, and today was probably the best experience I’ve ever had in terms of care. Not only is Dr. Jones attentive and thorough in his care, he is so empathetic towards the pain his patients can be experiencing after or before a procedure. I had problems with my procedure where my anesthetic wore off too soon and caused my body to move during. Dr Jones has a horrible bed side manner. Does not speak to his patients after any procedure. Office, him and his NP never return calls. This is the most uncaring place I have ever been. No help with controlling my pain. I just get brushed off. I call to ask questions about medication side effects and its been a week and I still dont have any answers. They were supposed to order an MRI. Its been several months and still no updates. Do not trust the care (lack there of) from anyone in this place. Every time I get an IV they br... read more
My first appointment was my last! Dr. Burgher was very nice and we discussed my spine problems. He said I needed a current MRI before we could decide on a treatment. I never received an order for one. I called SimonMed and they did not have an order. I called the doctor's office and was told it would be faxed over. I waited a week and called Simon Med again. Still no order. I already had a follow up appointment scheduled with the doctor - so I called the office again. They had no record of him ordering an MRI. This is where ... read more
I have had Dr. Burgher help me with several pain issues. Both nerve damage and osteoarthritis. He has done many procedures and even a surgery called SI Joint Fusion. He is very caring and explains everything until you understand. The 2 PA's that I feel very comfortable with are Steve and Todd. The entire office in Surprise, AZ is the same. Very nice and caring. I am not new to the pain center. First time seeing this doctor at the West Phoenix location. I was in the exam room for an hour past my original appointment time. I opened the door to get some air in there. Dr. Jones leaned his head in and he told me “if you come to the West Thomas clinic there is going to be a wait. I had a Nervo Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) installed in March of 2021 to address chronic lower back pain. The SCS was implanted by Ramoun Jones. The SCS worked fairly well for about one year. Thereafter, I experienced decreasing pain relief and finally, receiving no relief from the Nervo SCS on any setting, I turned it off. I was required to get an MRI to diagnose my continuing back problems. Doctor review of the MRI shows that there has been significant movement in the electrodes that were implanted to relieve my pain.
