Went to Brunswick Urgent Care last minute. It is close to work. Registering was simple and Jen at reception was great. The nurse called me in, I didn't get her name but she was great. Took my vitals asked why I came did some tests and I waited for the next step. Dr Kapitanyan came in. I am not good with names but he prescribed my medicine. Both he and nurse were pleasant and patient and listened for me to tell my symptoms. I never felt rushed. One of the most dismissive doctors I’ve ever met with. Both times ( a year or two a part) he was in such a rush and didn’t even really listen to me.
I agree with the other review here that said he always writes off your issues as anxiety. I went to him once at the urgent care with a needle stuck in my toe. It was extremely painful, and he just kept pressing on my toe and told me there is nothing in there and that I'm just being anxious. I was in pain for an entire month and my toe changed color until I finally found the needle coming off of my toe on it's own one day, a month later. Only then, my toe healed. Short and dismissive. I’ve been to Brunswick urgent care multiple times and he always writes my issues off as anxiety. Both times I had to get blood work done elsewhere only for them to tell me I had a potassium deficiency. Doctors like Dr Kapitanyan are the reason why people with mental health issues don’t always disclose their full medical history. He judges you based off of an anxiety diagnosis and doesn’t look further into things. Potassium deficiencies can be fatal if left untreated & luckily I listened to my gut. If yo... read more
