I had a wonderful experience with Dr Raf Asaid following my shoulder injury. From my very first appointment, I found him to be extremely kind, caring, approachable and professional. He took the time to carefully explain my injury, MRI results and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand. He listened to my concerns, answered all my questions patiently, and gave me a lot of reassurance about my recovery and returning to work. What I appreciated most was that I never felt rushed. Dr Asaid genuinely made me feel th... read more

*** GOD *** Short story long, I totally thrashed out my left shoulder. I had a full reconstruction which failed, that had to be reconstructed again in Darwin. They cocked it up. With a failing shoulder and no patience I set out to find a top shelf shoulder specialist to fix what Darwin couldn't. I did my research and through various undisclosed sources, I was put onto "the shoulder god" , Dr. Raf. I flew to Melbourne and Dr. Raf fixed the Darwin cock-up, rebuilt my AC joint and cleaned up the junky bits left over (2 x surger... read more

I had shoulder surgery (not with Dr Raf) with a surgeon who, unfortunately, lacked any empathy or basic people skills. She genuinely made me feel supported and at ease before even meeting Dr Raf. When I ... read more

Raf Asaid is an absolute gentlemen and a professional at what he does. He made me feel very confident and at ease with the decision of having surgery, my recovery and what my outcome should be. Danielle his office assistant is beyond helpful and extremely punctual with communication and organising everything. I honestly couldn't recommend this clinic enough.

Absolutely fantastic service from Dr. Raf, who saw me for wrist ORIF and hardware removal, and patiently answered all of my questions. My wrist is doing well and I am coming back to practicing all of the demanding activities I did before the injury. I would also like to compliment assistant Danielle for the kindness and patience regarding appointment scheduling. I hope I don’t have to go back, but if I do, I know I will be treated well at Melbourne Shoulder Institute.
