I believe that Dr. Chase is a smart and capable physician, but her bedside manner is deplorable. I don’t enjoy someone who talks down to me and doesn’t really seem to care about my well-being. She doesn’t listen thoroughly and consider what I have to say about the other conditions I have. The way she treats others in her office has made me lose even more respect for her.
I was inherited by Dr Chase when Dr Steven Stern retired. My first and only meeting with her, she decided I needed to come off multiple medications even though I've only been stable for about 10 mths. When I went for a second opinion with another rheumatologist I was dismissed from the practice. I received a letter stating "I hereby acknowledge that I can no longer take responsibility for your medical care as you have requested to see a different rheumatologist." I am surprised at some of these reviews. I pleaded for help for over 6 years to other doctors and within the first 5 minute appointment with Dr. Chase she knew what was wrong with me. Did some blood tests and said she would keep watching to make sure I didn't develop another condition. After I lost my daughter, she listened to my concerns, reran bloodwork, suggested a hematologist and placed me on a medication I requested to see if it would help improve the autoimmune condition.
