I’ve been seeing Dr Shukla for 3 years, she is one of the best in her specialty in the region. Where she falls short is on managing her front of house and staff. I usually wait 1-2 hours past my appointment time to have to see her. I’ll wait for good service, especially when there are very few other options. Where her office fell short was with one of her previous employees not doing her job. Absolutely no regard for her patient's time. First appointment she kept us waiting over one and a half hours, and no apology. Second appointment kept us waiting over two hours! At least we got a sorry that time. She sent a script to our pharmacy on a Friday, but it was somehow illegible and could not be filled. Then the office closed before word could get back to her so ended up in a urgent care Saturday so they could write a script. She’s an excellent Doctor who takes her time with you no matter how busy she is so I never mind the wait. I look forward to my visits, She is so warm and genuine that I feel like I am visiting an old friend.
Dr. Shukla is the best neurologist. She has helped reduce my migraines by 90% and I’ve been suffering with them since I was eight years old. Yes, I may wait an hour and a half in the office, which is not ideal, but it is worth it. I schedule appropriately, and bring work with me. Dr. Shukla spends the time needed with me. She has helped me more than specialized headache clinics ever did.
Similar to another review, for my first appointment I waited over an hour and half to be seen by Dr. Shukla. I had to prompt the secretaries to the point they forgot my name from check in and reluctantly walked me back to the exam room. I saw the doctor in the office across from the exam room and continued to wait. The exam itself then took extensively an additional hour and a half.
