Waiting 2 weeks after my referral was sent to contact the clinic. Tried calling twice and went to voicemail. Emailed enquiring about an appointment, noting they wouldn’t see new patients until November. I heard nothing back. Called today only to be bluntly told that my referral wouldn’t even be looked at would be thrown in the bin because they won’t take anyone on until November. It was scary: like something out of an. American film. There was no communication between me and the psychiatrist. They presumed my email address was my mobile phone so I received no info on my email. They charged me $750 - to my phone! The phone I didn’t know existed. Then, after all that it was a Telehealth session! Appalliing. Zero care.

They booked a last-minute appointment for me that became available after someone else had a last-minute cancellation. They said I would receive confirmation for a 9am slot, but I only heard back late on the evening before. She would have forgotten to confirm had I not emailed her at 10pm asking what was going on! When I requested a reschedule due to the early timing, she accused me of ruining her schedule! I have a long term chronic condition. And appreciate that I have found a specialist with whom I can connect. I highly recommend Dr Dasanayake's supportive, engaging and considered approach.
