I have been seeing Dr. Otterbeck for about 10 years. I have always found him to be highly competent (can't say that about many other physicians here on S.I.), most thorough and friendly. He spends time with you and answers all questions. Although I have had no problems with his staff, reading many other reviews it is apparent that it needs an overhaul
Unfortunately I cannot give ZERO Stars but if you're calling to schedule an appointment be prepared to face a lot of resistance from the person taking the call. First she assumed they didn't take my insurance without checking. I then logged into my carriers website and found that Otterbeck was indeed in Network! Then when I called back she made every effort to deter me from scheduling with any available Endocrinologist in the group. I made an appointment a few months ago and when i called to try and reschedule, they claimed my appointment wasn't even in the system. Even though the next available appointment was not for another 6 months, I could not even go to the one i originally had? Instead of owning up to their mistake, i was told repeatedly that i must've called the wrong number previously. I was only given a time and date. Dr. Otterbeck provides the highest level of care. He is one of the most caring and compassionate physicians that I have ever have the pleasure of being treated by. His office staff is equally dedicated.
Dr. Otterbeck is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He’s been my doctor for 10.5 years. When I had thyroid cancer, he helped me to understand and feel much less anxiety about my situation. Other doctors should model him as an example of excellence.
