I had my surgery on October 6th 2020 and it went very well. I would not have trusted anyone else except Dr. Peter Bronec, with my back. I came all the way from Charlotte to Durham to have my back surgery, at the Duke Regional Hospital. Dr. Bronec explained to me my problems, spent time and unlike other doctors did not rush me into surgery. His PA Marianne Paul is also very nice and patient, she was the one who removed my stitches and I had a follow up with her after the surgery. No one better...I had Cervical laminectomy and Lumbar laminectomy almost 10 years ago...no problems since. Recent MRI confirms excellent work. I choose Dr. Bronec because I am an RN (47 years), and I had the opportunity to observe his work in Neurosurgery as an RN at Duke while he was a resident. He still has the compassion, skills and art he had in 37-38 years ago. He recently diagnosed correctly me with a syndrome...others had missed, causing me needless discomfort and hospitalization.
