Spent 5 minutes interviewing me and diagnosed me from an ultra sound and X-ray and told me I’m right to go back to work. I could understand he was in a hurry as the pretty young patient ahead of me took 40 minutes to diagnose. Further research from my father who was also a surgeon lead me to get a further opinion by two other specialists who found permanent damage of a crushed bursa. I suffered an injury to my knee as a result of a work related incident 2025. I was fortunate that (Work Cover) managed my whole recovery from initial consultation with my local Doctor, MRI scans and subsequent appointment with Dr Peter Johnson. I can not speak more highly of Dr Peter Johnson, who explained exactly what my injury was in detail, surgery required (medical procedure) and post physiotherapy required. I have just had 2 shoulder surgeries done by Dr Johnston and his professional medical team at the Mater Private Hospital, I cannot praise these professionals enough. The care both before and post opp has been amazing. Right down to Excellent support from his wonderful staff Sue and Lois. Thank you all and keep up the your great work 🙏
The one star reviews are consistent with my personal experience. The receptionist is extremely abrasive and rude and Dr Johnstone is dismissive and quick to get you out of his practice. On my initial visit the receptionist commented that their clinic wasn't a place for toddler's as my wife had to drive me and our kids had to come, this was off-putting and rude and my wife repeatedly apologised to the receptionist who ignored her with disdain it was quite shocking to be treated that way.
