The first thing they teach you in medical school is proper bed side manner & communication with your patients. This doctor was so unbelievably disrespectful. I came in with a deep tissue laceration on my hand that was profusely bleeding so my dad of course was panicking and feeling faint. He proceeded to use passive language to kick my dad out of the examination room because he didn’t look well instead of checking his blood pressure and pulse. I went into the ER at the suggestion of an Urgent Care doctor. Dr. Simic was the attending physician and, although I only saw him a couple of times during my time in the ER, I appreciate how attentive and thorough he was with my care and even followed up afterward! I felt like he listened to my concerns and requested the all the appropriate tests to assist in determining the cause of my cough/chest pain. As a caregiver, I just experienced something NOBODY in the ER should ever have to endure. After 6 hours of waiting with my patient - who was suffering with A Fib, this man gave us less than 5 minutes and told us to go home. My patient was not breathing properly and had strong chest pains and needed care - he ordered steroids and Ativan?!?! And told us to leave.
