6 months ago I went in for preterm labor. Dr. Dekay said I was dehydrated even with contractions every 2 minutes. His plan was to discharge me after I finished IV fluids he never checked my cervix no one did even tho I begged them to. I begged them not to send me home. I went home and was bleeding. Went back to renown since their nicu is the only one appropriate for my gestational age. I was 6 cm and had an emergency c section! Both me and my daughter almost lost our lives! I would like to leave the absolute worst rating possible. I saw Dr. Peter Dekay for my prenatal care. He was rude and disrespectful and unprofessional. He obviously didn’t like me and allowed that to effect me in my prenatal care. I put in for two transfer requests which were both denied (Dekay has to approve my transfer) well I left a bad review (on google under my name) regarding Dekay basically calling me fat and not from a medical stand point or professional way in rude and random ways and he was also very rough and aggr... read more

AMAZING physician! Such a great bedside manner and explains EVERYTHING you need to know. My first visit with him, he was very open and made it clear he wanted all the feedback on how he could make my visits the most helpful! Him and his MA Clara really do make the dream team!! I don't even have all the words to explain what a great doctor Dr.Dekay is! If you're looking for a caring physician that really knows what he's doing, this is your guy!
