In Berkeley we had a wonderful internist. Moving to Davis, my concern: "Can we find a physician of equal quality, knowledge, experience?" Yes: Dr. Pauline Perez. Actually she's even better. Dr. Perez takes a lot of time with each patient! She considers possible reasons (including my ideas) for why I'm feeling off-kilter. She's respected by many other doctors--which is important when you're referred out as a new patient to a specialist.
