Best Doctor I have ever had takes his time with you, is a pleasure to talk with very caring and very knowledgeable down to earth. I am 70 years old and started seeing him late last year , since then i have a better understanding of my health.
I was a patient of MAHV for many years. This summer, I was treated by a nurse and receptionist in the Phoenicia Office in the most boorish and unprofessional way imaginable. So I switched PC.Fast forward to today. I needed to make an appointment with a specialist (Dr. Tack), who happens to be a co-founder of MAHV. He refuses to see me, claiming I was the one who was rude, and so 'would not be a good fit' for the practice. I was never given the opportunity to present my side of the story.Avoid this practice at all costs.
He refused to sign off on discharge even when his recommendations could have been done outpatien. Then transferred to a different hospital unnecessarily, delaying discharge even longer! Several other doctors questioned his reasoning for maintaining precautions, and the transfer. Have to wonder about his motive$. His condescending manner is deplorable!
By the time I met Dr Tack I was in the ER for the second time in two days with cellulitis. I had been sent home with some antibiotics by the same ER the day before but overnight I grew sicker fast. The ER this time quickly admitted me and brought in Dr Tack. He brought the cellulitis under control and in a 3 days I was able to be released. Dr Tack communicated clearly, paid close attention to me and the infection and most importantly cured it. An underlying immunity issue can make it hard for me to get rid of infections, but... read more
Great GP, Couldn't be more pleased. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and helpful in recommending in specialists when this path is necessary. During appointments, he is a very good listener and thoughtful in diagnosing my problems and/or developing a successful treatment plan.
Dr Tack was fantastic for me years ago, and fantastic for my husband in 2021! We both saw him for Lyme/ tick related illnesses. He was extremely thorough, explained everything well, asked if we had any other questions, etc! Highly recommended!
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have Dr. Bushkuhl as my primary doctor. He has a wonderful manner, pays very close attention to every detail, listens carefully and responds with concise reasoning for his diagnosis. His communication skills are excellent as is his level of care.
Dr Tack has been my Doctor for almost twenty years and I wouldn't think of changing that. I really appreciate his down to earth, easy to understand.. .common sense approach to medicine. He has a wonderful "Bedside Manor" and is a super compassionate person. I've never been disappointed with any of his suggested treatments or recommendations. He's Batting 1000 in my book. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for those attributes in their Doctor.
Dr. Bushkuhl is one of the very best doctors I have ever seen. He is a good listener and evaluator. He is incredibly knowledgable. He diagnosed my lyme disease early enough so that it did not progress to the debilitating condition it known to be. In general, he is just the best.
