The one star is for the office staff. We will not be seeing Dr. ZBELL again because of them. They will not answer the phone. I have called for over a month and cannot get them to answer. I’ve waited on hold for over 30 minutes and still no answer. There is no way to leave a message unless you chose the option for Dr. Zbell’s nurse. Went in for a botx outpatient bladder treatment continent and a little leaking came out 100% incontinent and bleeding from the rectum. The first visit after the procedure he adondened me...All I hear in my head the last 2 years is 'it only took me 5 minutes' to ruin my life. Heart broken and suicidal I was left with no life. I have been seeing Dr. Zbell regularly for about a year now. I have been experiencing kidney issues for 10 years. He is the first doctor I have ever had to listen to me and take me seriously. He did not dismiss me for my age (I am very young to have the kidney issues I did.) I was miserable and bed bound constantly until he stepped in and gave me my entire life back. Dr.Zbell is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend
Very good doc. Very caring and sent me to the ER on a weekend and called the ER to check on me. Takes time with every patient and has a stellar bedside manner. I asked the nurse at the hospital before a procedure if he was a good one, she responded “he’s the best.”
Dr Zbell performed a prostate biopsy in his office. This is typical for his practice and it is a horrible and most painful experience. Other physicians (urologist and internist) have told me the procedure should never be performed without anesthesia. One doctor said to do what Dr Zbell did is "barbaric." Over a period of a few years he was casual about my care and twice (in one day) he refused to respond to both the ER staff and my requests for him to assist when I had an emergency. We were referred to Dr. Zbell by our family doctor that had also sent his father to Zbell. We absolutely love Zbell and have since referred a friend to him who is just as pleased as we were. My husband is not a fan of doctors, has been lucky prior to the past year with his health, however felt very comfortable with Dr. Zbell and even had his first surgical procedure in 30+ years after several months of treatment. Highly recommend Dr. Zbell to anyone with the highest of respect for him.
