Came in with 9/10 pain levels. Crying. Clearly distressed. Doctor refuses to do any tests, won’t give medication or anything. He blamed my pain on my menstrual cycle when I kept telling him I knew it wasn’t that. Discharged me, still in pain and distress. Turned out to be my gallbladder. Which Dr. Sovell said it WAS NOT that and I was in the wrong for questioning him.
I have never been treated in such an awful and demeaning manner. My blood pressure and heartrate were sky high and he refused to believe I was in pain. That was until I received an x-ray proving that I was severely injured and he still didn't treat me properly and refused to acknowledge he made a mistake! I've never had a worse experience in my life and pray that I never ever meet this monster again!
Provided my sister with emergency care for her knee. Treated her with respect & caring. Drained 88ml of blood from her knee which was causing severe pain. Clearly this should have been done by Drs who saw her previously for a knee injury. Thanks for the help!
I was recently seen in the St. John's ER for uncontrollable pain. After waiting for about 3 hours to be seen, Dr. Sovell entered and left my room in under 5 minutes, barely asked me about what was going on, didn’t do any type of physical exam except listen to my heart/lungs, and provided me absolutely no treatment options. St. John's Hospital Hated it Sept. 24 2013 BUYER BEWARE I was in the Emergency Dept. For a severe headache, the worst I had ever had in my life. My husband and I waited for over an hour for Dr. Paul Sovell to come in. He stood by the door with his arms crossed.
