I went to the ER for a severe painful lump and what I could tell to be an infected wound post surgery. It was very red and draining pus. Dr File ordered a CT scan which I guess didn’t show an abscess but my lab work shows infection. according to him lab work was normal. He refused to give me antibiotics and sent me home after I asked twice. Most disappointing ER experience I have ever had. Went into the ER with severe symptoms which he immediately dismissed, refused to acknowledge, and proceeded to deny any care. His official diagnosis was “hysteria and anxiety about health.” A week later I was back in the ER in even worse condition. Worst Dr ever. Took my friend who was very ill said nothing was wrong with her sent us home. Two days later ended up at the ER with a bad bacterial infection that was present on the labs he looked at and sent her home.
I observed Dr. File in the ER caring for my mother. He was professional and personable, and addressed all of our concerns.
Came in to the ER with my 18 month old son who had blisters and had been fussy all day and completely disregarded all of my concerns. He did not seem sure of his own diagnosis. He kept saying “I’m gonna go with”. I asked to get blood work done to confirm and immediately said no that it’s not needed. Worst doctor and worst experience at CHOMP.
