I have been under Dr. Abend's care since 2003 for herniated discs in neck and most currently for lower back. He has gone above and beyond in his commitment to patients in diagnosis and treatment. Because of Dr. Abend I no longer have pain and spasms in my neck. He does not waist time or put a patient off in his quest for determining a treatment plan. I'm a mom of two and had an emergency issue with my hip. I couldn't walk or function and needed immediate care. Dr. Paul Abend adjusted his schedule and saw me that day. He listened and treated me with care. Within 24 hours I was feeling better and able to function. Now I'm fully recovered and so thankful to know I can count on him in the future if need be.
Dr Paul Abend it all starts with standards. Which do not exist. I had and appointment for a injection into my spine the day of the injection I received a call that it was cancelled, after speaking with several people my appointment was not cancelled. I went on for a second injection this time I was not told to stop warfarin for several days before the procedure. Both my husband and I have been patients of Dr. Abend and Dr. Mejia and have been extremely pleased with the care that we have received. Both Doctors were very caring and sympathetic to our needs. I have recommended my sister who was also very happy with the care that she received. The office staff are very professional, caring and pleasant to talk with.
1st patient in 30 years to vent using a site, rather than speak directly to me. Cursed out my staff and left vulgar and inappropriate messages on our office machine(we have saved all recordings).. Spoke to referring physician, who agreed to refer to another physician. As far as the other patient who only had 1 visit, she had spoken to our RN and did receive a message back from myself. She has not followed up.
