I took my child as a new patient to see Dr Detjen. He was awful. He kept interrupting us and when I expressed that I wanted to get through the details of her history calmly as medical offices can create anxiety for us, he said “We’re gonna do this my way.” He was intimidating, rude and I was warned by others that this is his general demeanor. Even his nurse looked uncomfortable.
Dr. Detjen has been my doctor for more than 10 years now. He and his team have always been kind to me, have always treated me with respect even before I say my name. I was getting allergy shots every week and Dr. Detjen and his team supported me every second. I have “graduated” from the allergy shots and I haven’t had those severe asthma or allergy days since. Thank you Dr. Detjen and team.
I am very disappointed with the extremely disrespectful and rude behavior I have experienced from the staff. Under these circumstances, I will be looking for another facility for my children, even though I think Dr. Detjen is nice.
There is something going on both with this doctor and with his front staff. Unfriendly and unprofessional, and treated a child with disrespect. I recommend looking elsewhere.
