Hard to believe Dr. Mehlhop has any bad reviews. I’ve been going to his office for more than a decade without any issues. Sometimes yes there is a long wait, but this is likely due to the face he is thorough and spends a lot of time with every patient. Never have I felt rushed. I highly recommend!
Very poor service-didn't notify me of a test that was positive for Alpha-Gal. I went two more years and was referred to another allergist after complaining that I had already underwent these tests two years prior, he requested my records and looked at my test results from Dr. Melhop's office and told me the diagnosis. I had two years of never knowing when I was going to have another anaphylactic episode due to the lack of communication from Dr Melhop. My son went in for his regular allergy shots and they were using an under the tongue thermometer to check temperatures. This requires pulling off the mask and each person while holding a thermometer their mouth is breathing down all over the wand. Do you not have several back up thermometers if your touchless thermometer breaks? This was seriously very disgusting.
Beware of patronizing attitude and subtle sarcasm.
Dr Melhop is knowledgeable and friendly, his staff is great, but the waiting times and terrible and they schedule more appointments then is feasible.
I have been going to him for more than 7 years and I have never been disappointed I actually just recommended him for my niece who is 14 years old.
Dr Mehlhop is good and he helped with the allergy issus.
