Dr Azer is very experienced, professional and caring. He found several small cysts after doing a quick ultrasound on my thyroid. He also told me I am wasting my money taking such a low dose of natural (porcine) thyroid as it metabolizes out of my system within several hours! It was such a hassle to try to track down pharmacies that carried that prescription and I say good riddance! He is, as another reviewer stated, a no-nonsense, straight shooter and I like that in a doctor.
This will be a long winded review but worth the read. I had been having muscle issues for a few years, I decided to run blood tests with my primary care physician suspecting possible thyroid problems. My Dr. said she may have felt a nodule on my thyroid but she's not sure, she will run the blood tests but she is not a thyroid expert and referred me to Dr. Azer. Dr Azer explained everything in detailed didn’t rush ,and genuinely cared about my well-being. He’s very experienced and yet humble. My previous endocrinologist was the opposite didn’t explain , rushed in and out , and acted as if I wasn’t there . So thankful their are some caring doctors out there like Dr. Azer .
Worst front office staff imaginable. Understaffed, indifferent, and rude. Run down office in L.A. Appendage office in Newport that is the forgotten stepsister of the main gig (Newport Heart). Doctor is knowledgeable but on the verge of retirement. Would not recommend.
