I read many negative reviews about Dr. Story and I think they’re really unfair. If you need medication along with therapy you should ask for a psychiatrist not a psychologist. Dr Story has been a LIFE CHANGER for me. She is that Psychologist/Doctor who SPEAKS FROM HER PROFESSIONAL experiences! If “Punching a pillow” for some of you who are giving her 1 doesn’t work, than ask for a psychiatrist to give you medication.

Just terrible. These one star reviews are accurate. The worst therapist I have ever seen or heard of. She most certainly should not be dealing with veterans.

I spent about two years seeing Dr. Story - mostly through audio calls, with maybe one video visit - as a provider contracted through the VA until summer 2023. Things seemed okay enough, at first, although looking back it feels like she took advantage of knowing I make excuses for people; she wouldn't schedule me more than once every 6-ish weeks, sometimes 8... unless I wanted to be awake for an appointment at 7am, that is. I've had only 2 visits with this doctor and I assumed we were making some good progress. I experienced a panic attack and was recommended to take anti anxiety medication. I tried to go ahead and do what SHE recommended and was told that she had to put the referral. Well, when I called and left a voice mail to explain the situation she was real quick to assume I was up to no good and basically let me go. Ridiculous!
