Dr. Shirley is very thorough and caring. She looks for the source of your symptoms rather than just treats symptoms. She explains things very clearly and takes time to listen to you.
Don’t expect to be contacted back for much. Takes multiple phone calls to get meds refilled. The patient portal is the biggest joke ever, never responds. Staff is rude. Also, if your results come back normal, you get ghosted. Thanks to all this, I’m looking for a new doctor. One who doesn’t treat their patients like hypochondriacs and actually CARES about their patients (with or without insurance).
Dr. Shirley is great. She listens, is thorough, smart, and respectful. But good luck with communication after your office visit. Her nurse was supposed to call me with lab results after my appointment, but didn’t. I used the online messaging system to ask about it. No response, so I figured I wasn’t dying and let it go. Then I ran out of a med, so I sent another message. No response. I called and left a message for the nurse. No response. I had my pharmacy send a refill request. No response.
Very good listener. Looks for cause rather than only treating my symptoms.
While Dr Shirley is a great doctor, it constantly take multiple calls to get results of any test they do. Staff needs to be expanded or changed, unless you just like to be ignored once you leave the office.

Dr. Shirley is professional and warm, is great with my kids, and listens well to my concerns. I also appreciate being able to email her. It's to schedule appointments rather than having to call, and her nurse is really good.
She is a great doctor and takes time to listen to you and makes me feel understood.
