Went to this doctor many years ago for what was supposed to be a laproscopic hernia repair. Dr. Figert assurred me the scar would be 1 to 2 inches at most. To my recollection, I was not sent for any imaging or scans prior to the procedure, just a manual hands-on exam prior to surgery. I nearly lost my life during colon resection that came apart. I came very close to losing my life with this Dr.
Hernia surgery. She did a superb job
I would highly recommend Dr. Figert for many reasons. Several days ago, I was admitted to Baptist East for pain which tests revealed I had an infected gallbladder. My case was picked up by another surgeon who, had many, many negative reviews on Healthgrades & throughout the hospital. Dr. Figert previously did my sister’s surgery and she was pleased. Once the RN relayed the message to Dr. Figert’s staff, she agreed to do the surgery despite the many surgeries she had already scheduled that day!
Very positive experience at Baptist Eastpoint with Dr. Figert and her staff. I was referred by my PCP for a screening colonoscopy. Her staff provided thorough instructions and helpful tips, answered questions, and were very professional yet warm and courteous. The endoscopy area was comfortable and well maintained. Dr. Figert was professional, very approachable and willing to address questions and concerns. She seems to be a caring person with a passion for her work.
She handles all our colonscopies and my husband's surgery. We love the way we are treated by her. She explains thing in our terms.
Dr. Figert performed a laparoscopic appendectomy on me. I am a 19 yr old male and I must say I was pleased with the promptness of the surgery and the pain after. I was able to leave the hospital 2 hours after surgery and here I sit less than 48 hours after the surgery with only some discomfort in my lower abdomen. She was very straight forward with me as far as what they did during the surgery and my recovery time/instructions.
Dr.Figert has been able to give me my normal life back.I will always be grateful to her and her staff and refer her to family and friends.
