Dr. Spehar was a follow-up to an emergency room visit for a Pilonidal Cyst. He saw my 18 year old daughter for less than 5 minutes and I received a bill for $185. Cigna paid $74.29 and I'm responsible for the other portion. I would be very cautious about seeing him. I was pleased to know that my daughter didn't require surgery but $185 for less than 5 minutes is a complete outrage. I will be in touch with the BBB of Missouri and possibly Florida, since he decide to leave the state.
Fine surgeon, worked with him in the OR several years ago. Gentle technique, qiuck worker, doesn't muck about, trust him implicitly. When I needed my gallbladder out, he was the go-to guy for a good result. Still is. Great trauma surgeon too. Absolutely gold standard all the way in the OR.
