My grandmother started seeing her for UTI’s. We have seen her 2x and she disregarded the fact that she was having multiple UTI’s and provided us with OTC options. One of those options we requested to be sent to pharmacy- she never even bothered to do that. Then, a couple days after our apt with her my grandmother ended up getting sepsis. Met in hospital very pleasant took her time in the visit. She had an idea what was my issue before other doctors.
Dr Aftab is the absolute worst medical professional I have ever seen. I am confirmed to have chronic Lyme disease. She knows nothing about the disease. She stated she doesn't believe in chronic Lyme disease. She ignored dangerously high blood pressure taken by her nurse. She never followed up with me after she ordered blood tests trying to blame my symptoms on something else. STAY AWAY...complete disregard for patients health and well-being!
I highly recommend her! She apologized for running late and keeping me waiting. She is a great doctor, a rare doctor that listens and is concerned how treatments are going to effect you and your family. She doesn’t just rush in and out of your appointment, she genuinely wants to know how the treatment is working for you.

She may be ok with cases that are not complicated. My experience with this doc is that if a condition presents itself as different than the textbook symptoms, she doesn't know what to do. I found her bedside manner rude and abrasive, argumentative . Also her educational background indicates that she had not been educated in the United States, which may affect her perception of various conditions. Office staff were very kind however.
Absolutely terrible. I went to receive a travel vaccinations consultation before going to Peru and Bolivia to visit Machu Picchu. Dr. Aftab did not mention or prescribe me altitude sickness pills for Machu Picchu. Much to my shock, EVERYONE I traveled with had received these prescriptions and brought the pills for their trip. And of course, I got altitude sickness upon landing in Cusco. Upon returning, I realized her office coded my visit as consultative - non-medical which caused my insurance
My doctor insisted that I see an infectious disease specialist within 24 hours, and he was able to get the appointment with Dr. Aftab. I found her to be professional, courteous, and able to handle the infection in my leg appropriately.
Staff other than front desk are hard to work with.
