My children have been seeing Dr. Lofty for nearly 20 years; since Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics opened, and for a time prior to that at another facility. After reading all of the reviews, I felt as though I needed to share my positive experiences. We followed Dr. Lotfy from Bright Starts Pediatrics 2/3 children the older ones at that time 12 an 6 now 24 & 19. My 24 year old daughter Doctoral Student at UAB prefers to see Dr. Lotfy she has cared for them for 12 + years. She genuinely seems concerned and always accommodating. Wait times for appointments are extreme, wait times at appointments are extreme, never answers the phone, and actual doctor competence is medeocre after all that. If you don't mind waiting weeks for an appointment and multiple hours once you are there, plus a game of phone tag which is guaranteed to interrupt you at the worst time possible every time, all for medeocre and inflexible care, then sure, Lofty might be ok for you. Best Doctor for your babies. They also have a nurse that used to work at St. Jude, and she is amazing and knowledgeable. They treat you and your children like family.
