I started seeing Dr Pohani last July. I was looking for a primary care physician in the western Gainesville area and found her on a Medicare site. Her reviews were excellent, she’s right on Newberry Road, and she was accepting new patients. I have never had a doctor who is so thorough. My husband and I recently started seeing Dr. Pohani and I can already say she is changing our health for the better. We love that her philosophy is preventative medicine and isn’t in a rush to ply us with unnecessary medications! She is informative and educational on how we can improve our health and gives us the time to ask questions and make sure we understand everything. Dr Pohani has been our doctor for the last 18 years. She’s very thorough and easy to understand. She listens and takes her time, so you don’t feel rushed.
I have been going to Dr. Pohani for the last 12 or 13 years. She was recommended to me by the head of the cardiac unit at North Florida Hospital as one of the best doctors in the hospital. Dr. Pohani is very thorough and proactive. She’s an “ old fashion” doctor as she doesn’t look at the clock and will spend as much time as needed with her patients. She is always available by phone and very conscious of her patients conditions. Thru the years, she has become a dear friend and I am very glad that she is my doctor.
