I knew Dr. Kassel, when he was a neurosurgical resident at University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada, in the 1970's. He worked with Dr. Charles Drake. As a RN from the the states, where I specialized in Nurosurgical nursing, it was a fabulous experience to work with Drs. Drake and Kassell!
Dr. Kassell saved my mother's life after she suffered a 3rd degree berry aneurysm rupture. Because he chose to make himself the very best neurosurgeon in the world, the Lord has used him as an instrument to heal and teach. She experienced every possible complication before she was able to be clipped on day 22. He got her through vasospasm and after she was tx in a rehab hospital near our home for 2 weeks, she came home. She returned to her pre-morbid state within 3 mos.
