Excelente Dr! I have been a patient of her for about 6 years. I can not say enough about her practice. Dr Karishev is very knowledgeable, a good listener, she discusses with me my care plan and includes my ideas. She is also a compassionate and respectful person. I wish all my Dr were as good as she is.

I have been seeing Dr. Karishev since 2013 and will continue to do so as long as she is in practice. She is competent, highly skilled, listens carefully, and treats me as a partner in my health care decisions. She does takes notes on the computer, required by Summit/Alta Bates Medical Center, allowing all my records to be accessible by my other doctors. She always gets back to me. Her front staff (Alex) and attending staff, are amazing; all having professional demeanors, kind and attentive.

I've seen Karishev a few times, nothing too demanding, but enough to say that she seemed competent and took enough time and seemed knowledgeable. She's a laptop note-taker which is cool with me -- means she'll have accurate records -- but some folks might find that off-putting. I've seen the other doc/NP here also (Rothman, Anderson) and they are also solid. They've had the same front office person Alex for years, who is competent.

She was intelligent, informative (I appreciate it when doctors offer information proactively that they think might be relevant), caring, pleasant without being warm/fuzzy, and engaged. She shed new light on some of my medical issues, and provided some needed services for me immediately, which I really appreciated. She also scheduled some needed tests, and recommended other exams that I probably should be having at this point. I am quite happy and feel lucky to have her as my new doctor!

Dr Karishev was rude, dismissive, and condescending. I can honestly say that this was the worst doctor's appointment I have ever had. During the visit, I mentioned that I wanted to live a childfree life, and was evaluating permanent options to achieve this. I'm a woman in my mid twenties. She completely dismissed me and refused to give me any sort of information on this. She also uses BMI to determine a patients health, which is widely considered outdated and inaccurate. Don't waste your time.
