UPDATE: Received a letter in the mail that he retired last month. Thank goodness!! Looked like he had cataracts and his techniques were behind the times. What they have in the newest research different match what he was telling me he wanted to do, not to mention my current oncology team did a lot more testing before coming up with a plan. Did surgery on my mom (ovarian cancer) and after surgery was done he barely took 1 minute to talk how it went. I was told at least 85% of mass was removed, however per ct scan done at Mayo clinic it showed a lot more mass then what it was stated by Dr. dini report after surgery. When we mentioned going for second opinion dr. dini didn't seem to like it. I believe my Mom would still be alive if she had good dr. at beginning of cancer diagnosis and her first surgery. :(
I have a new cervical cancer diagnosis. Dr Dini was talking about a radical hysterectomy with node removal before I had even been tested and staged. And he said it so matter of fact without discussion that my husband spoke up and said, "For you this may be day to day business, but for us, this is a big deal." Doctor Morteza Dini is the best doctor ever ! He was in Chicago Magazine years ago as the best in his field. He operated on me in 2002, everything went great. I have no problems whatsoever !
