First time visiting Dr Guthrie’s office with my daughter. Staff was friendly. Medical assistants were so patient with my daughter who has some anxiety about doctor visits. Dr. Guthrie was kind and patient and explained everything clearly with plenty of space for questions. Little to no waiting made for a pretty pleasant experience all around.
I strongly advise against visiting this place. My experience there was extremely disappointing. They diagnosed my daughter with strabismus and insisted she needed glasses, but the treatment was a nightmare for her. She refused to wear the glasses, and the whole process was distressing. I later sought a second opinion from Dr. Capo, a top eye specialist in Florida, and discovered that my daughter didn't actually need glasses at all. I cannot spew enough positive adjectives to describe Dr. Guthrie. He has been with my micro-premie twins since birth. They will be 12 years old in July. Needless to say, Dr. Guthrie is a gem. We will miss him, as our boys are too old to continue under his care. We will continue with his office just with another Doctor. This is the ROP doctor for your children, parents.
