After several mis-scheduled visits, and feeling rushed & judged, I am no longer a patient. Gretchen always seems preoccupied, the office it hot & Gretchen always stinking up the office with food. Always says Gretchen will confirm. Not always the case. Dr Patel it very quick to write a script- seems annoyed if you inquire about a side affect & rushes you. Lack of concern in my opinion. Do your research and go elsewhere. Plus it was not easy to locate her office. I am not from Bergen County.
After a misunderstanding of a virtual vs in-person session, she decided she wouldn’t see me again. She said she would do one more session, but it had to be in-person. However, her availability does not match when I can get out of work. She also put me on a medication that is not covered by insurance, and I pay $500 a month now. I wanted help going off it, but not from someone who cares so little about her patients. I truly wholeheartedly wouldn’t recommend. In the beginning alright but, I agree with the others, my thoughts and feelings were barley of concern while my payments were collected in full, I believe it’s been at least 3 years since I’ve had a meaningful conversation here and I haven’t even received any calls for the past few months.
Had my second visit. Having depression for many years, I finally decided to seek help since I was in a deep depression after losing a parent. Dr. Patel is very soft spoken, asks the right questions and if I need to call for assisted help, she is there.
