I have had my first appointment and I appreciate the professionalism of Dr. Shields and how thorough she is. She took her time with me going over everything and even called me back later in the afternoon to ensure we talked about some research she had done on a medication I am taking, and established referrals for me for other points of care. She didn’t leave any opportunity for me to guess the next move- she is communicative and organized.
Everything that was needed was done with care, privacy, concern and general ease. Dr. Shields and I discussed where I am in menopausal life and all that it entails. Got my yearly exams. Excellent.
The worst obgyn care I’ve ever gotten. I once waited two hours for Dr. Shields to do the fetal Doppler and ask if we had any questions. She said it was because she was going on vacation the next day and “trying to get everyone in”. I just hope her flight was two hours late… The nurses, ultrasound tech, and phlebotomist were all very nice though.
Dr. Shields is a wonderful, caring doctor.
