He does not have good bedside manners. Faces away most of the visit. No sincere concern after my baby was diagnosed with Trisomy 13. I will not return to him or his associate Dr. Redmond.
This was my first male gyno, i had a female previously from another practice and compared to her, he was great and answered all my questions and concerns he made things easy and as comfortable as possible.All over it was a good visit and the staff was kind. Im going back to him.
The staff is friendly & the PA Sharon Machner was great! I only chose Hughston because my 2 cousins recommended him. He's friendly enough & always asks if I have any questions or concerns but it seems more routine than actual concern. When I gave him my birth plan he said "good luck" as I requested to not have an epitomsmy. I've been considering switching doctors since it seems he doesn't steer towards the idea of a natural birth. I have been with Dr. Hughston for 23 yrs now and am extremely satisfied with him as my doctor. He has always been very attentive and has answered all of my concerns. I moved out of the Valley but will continue to see him as my personal OBGYN. The staff is wonderful as well.
He was not my regular doctor he was on call the night i went into labor. He was cold and rude and unsupportive and I assume it was because I wasn't a one of his patients.I would not recommend him, it was a horrible experience.
Not a good OB if you would like a more natural birth experience--he has rules and demands he likes to stick by. He would not allow me to have a VBAC-even though it is a safer choice. I wont see him again--fired him in 3rd trimester and found a midwife. The other staff was nice and the PA was AWESOME--Sharon Machner! The US tech was nice and I loved all the ultrasounds I got in clinic.
Excellent, personal attention. He is friendly, and easy to talk to. Makes sure his patients understand thoroughly what is going on with any condition.
