We were referred to Dr. Chen in October 2024, and despite his schedule being fully booked for the year, he managed to find time to meet with us. From the very beginning, Dr. Chen was not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly personable, taking the time to explain everything clearly. He successfully removed 95% of my mom’s mass, and we couldn’t be more grateful for his expertise and care. We are truly thankful that Dr. Chen is our neurosurgeon, and we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome!
Dr. Chen recently performed a laminectomy and fusion to remove cancer from my spine. Not only was Dr. Chen forthright, to the point, and brilliant but he is a seriously gifted surgeon as well. My incision is mathematically straight and just two weeks later I’m almost 100%. I have had many cancer procedures and Dr. Chen is the by far the best! He is also very kind and respected by all the nurses which unfortunately, not all Docs are. I don't recommend cancer but I DO recommend Dr. Chen!
I’m currently under the care of Dr. Mike Chen, and I recently had surgery at City of Hope. Dr. Chen is the best of the best at City of Hope. Words can’t express the amount of appreciation that I have for Dr. Chen and his amazing team. I was not under the direct care of Dr. Chen, but was in his presence several times while supporting a girlfriend. He was always thorough, patient and kind; plus I’m a sucker for dry humor. He would be my first choice if I ever needed his field of expertise.
