I was a young mom (18 yrs old). During our checkup appointments he would make rude remarks regarding my age having a child already. After giving birth he pushed for me to get on birth control because “ I didn’t want another mistake to happen.” Unbelievable, my biggest regret is not standing up for my self and requesting a different ob :(
I was having my first baby. Went to the hospital when my contractions were frequent, strong and met the 5-1-1 (even 4-1-1) rule. I was hoping to get epidural and ready to have the baby. The nurse said my dilation was not progressing. Dr. Cano showed up briefly, didn’t ask questions, and suggested that I go home, saying I probably will have the baby in 1 to 3 days. So I went home. Pregnant with twins and almost 40. First and only children High risk because of age and multiples. Gave birth at 36 weeks. Never once had a vaginal exam or pap smear. Missed my preeclampsia. Was in labor for 3 days before I went to the hospital because of the advice of his staff. When I arrived to the hospital his nurses misdiagnosed how dilated I was saying I was at eight centimeters when I was only at 2 cm. Blood pressure is through the roof. Dr Cano is a kind and caring doctor. He is knowledgeable and explains procedures and treatment carefully and completely. I have complete confidence that he can and will help me. I wish I had him for birthing my boys.
He has been my doctor during my pregnancy and he took proper care of me. I will recommend him for any one who wants to have their baby
