Had a great visit with a very knowledgeable d.o. doctor. She was intune with my concerns and helpful with her treatments. I would highly recommend using Dr Berry to my friends!
I was complaining about being extremely tired ALL THE TIME but particularly after I ate. Seeing as it runs in my family, I was wondering if any evidence of the onset of Diabetes would show up in my blood work. I was told that she thought it was Mono, and we would have a Mono test included in the blood work. The next visit we were going over the results, there was nothing out of the ordinary... Thank God! At one point I was calling the office just to see if I could get a print out verifying that she prescribed me a certain medication but was repeadetly told i would have to come in and pay for another visit to get it. I had no medical questions or needs, just needed some of my personal medical info. They make it feel like if you talk to the recwptionist for more than 30 seconds on the phone, I'd be charged for a visit. After having problems breathing and not getting any assistance from the current pulmonologist, I tried to contact another one. When I had absolutely no good results, I went to see Dr. Berry and told her I had run into a brick wall and my breathing was still a problem. She prescribed an inhaler for me (something I never got from pulmonologist) and booked me with a new doctor that I had tried to contact. I went to her for 3 years. She had a computer crash in the beginning of year 2. I finally realized at the end of year 3 that she had no current records of my health. In the 3 years that I went to her, I was the person who had to piece together the health puzzle for her. I was the person who had to point out to her that I had multiple autoimmune disorders.
My husband spent 4 hours in the emergency room, because Dr. Berry's staff did not fax one of the two prescriptions that Dr. Berry prescribed. The staff told us to wait 3 hours after the doctor visit by my husband,to get the prescription. The pharmacy got the prescription from a fax but, Dr. Berry's office had closed at 4 on Friday. Finding out the antibiotics were not faxed and the office was closed at 4, we could not get the antibiotics. The recording on the phone to her office said, to go to the emergency room or 911. This has been the biggest waste of my time and esp.my money.Berry has horrible bedside manners and doesn't give a damn about the patient. She will get up and walk out of the room while you are trying to discuss the reason for being in office that day. My "physical" also consisted of her giving me a combo of dangerous scripts on top of not knowing who I was (AGAIN) and I've been seeing her for a while!!! After going into the Dr today I realized that they have been billing me incorrectly. I realize that this office only cares about the dollar not the patient. Even after I explained to them my coverage, they argued with that they have to go by what the computer says. I then called my insurance company to confirm what I already knew. So before you pay them a dime, make sure that you check with your insurance to make sure that they are billing correctly. I feel that they have already stolen hundreds from me and my family. WORST DOCTOR in Boerne. I have been going to Berry for a little over a year, let me rephrase that.. I have been going to see her Nurse Practitioner. Seems like she runs the office, since Dr. Berry isn't actually EVER in the in office. The one time I actually saw Dr Berry she sent me for blood work (I had been sick for almost 3 months, and had already been in twice, making this my third visit in 3 months).
