family member presented with all the symptoms of early sepsis. Blood was drawn when first admitted to ER but no lab work was done after a couple hours. Dr Stackpool was going to discharge family member without doing the lab work until I insisted that it be done. Dr Stackpool came into room praising me for being an advocate for the patient. Turns out the patient's White count was quite high and they ended up keeping the patient overnight to observe and receive IV antibiotics.
