Totally ignored my grandmas post surgical pain. Pins were sticking out of her bone and he did nothing to fix it - I assume due to her age. Would not recommend.
Refused to xray shoulder and arm, said pain from arthritis. But because of my age (75) just learn to live with the pain. I changed doctors, just learned my bicep is torn and rotator cuff also torn. Seems he practices age discrimination and could care less about patient pain.
Dr Coen performed my RTKA two years ago and more recently, a scope on my left knee. He exceeded my expectations for both surgeries. He takes the time to answer your questions and works with you on formulating your healthcare plan. Don't be fooled by his whistling of tunes as he's just as professional and knowledgeable as he is happy. His staff is always warm & welcoming. I highly recommend Dr Coen without hesitation.
I was trying to schedule and appointment just now. The operator was rude and short and while I was asking her a question, in the middle of my question, she put me on hold and started to transfer my call. She didn't even know what I was asking her because she gave me no time to ask. No warning, no "wait, let me transfer your call"... I'm so tired of these receptionist at doctors offices being so rude and unprepared for their job.
Dr. Coen performed a bilateral total knee replacement in 2004 when this was a major procedure, not the one day outpatient procedure of today. The outcome was excellent and after 17+ years my new knees are still going strong! Thank you Mike for a job well done!
