Dishonest? Situational incompetence? Both? Dr. Gutkin scheduled a procedure for me after diagnosis. He then had his office contact me to cancel it with the explanation it wasn't something he ever recommended; even though it was in the documented appointment summary, and he scheduled it. I asked why the procedure was in the appointment notes and had been scheduled. They said they didn't know and it didn't matter. We decided Dr. Gutkin could not be trusted and replaced him with a capable, honest doctor.
Positives - Easy scheduling - Polite staff - Nice nurse Not Positive - Dr. Gutkin has limited to no focus on understanding the underlying health issues or overall situation. - He is more focused on addressing symptoms with the limited set of treatments he offers; a hammer looking for a nail. - Dr. Gutkin's approach likely won't solve your underlying healthcare issues. It will keep you returning for short term symptom relief. - It made it difficult for us to trust his judgment or motivation as our doctor.
