Dr Gieger is one of the very best doctors I've ever had. He took a genuine interest in my history and problem. He was very compassionate and explained exactly what was going on in my back, and how to fix it. I'm nearly fully recovered now, thank you.
When I saw him last year, the exam was very thorough and he put the MRI up on the large computer screen so he could show me exactly what the issues were. He spent a sufficient amount of time with me; I did not feel rushed. Most exceptional was that surgery was not his first recommendation, suggesting pain treatment through another doctor first to see if that helped and kept surgery as an option down the road.
This office is old and dated. Dr. Geiger was less than personable and very unprofessional. While reviewing my films in his office he took a phone call in the middle of my consolation (without excusing himself) and openly discussed the patient before me medical condition and treatment plan in detail. He did not use the patients name but did state her date of birth and it was clear he was talking about the patient who left his office prior to me and her treatment plan. It was extremely unprofess
He made a diagnosis that I thought was spot on and explained my symptoms. I didn't exactly like his bedside manner, very sharp comments and unfair criticism of my PCP's decision to refer me to him. (Which I think my PCP made the right judgment call because I got an accurate diagnosis and was referred out for the appropriate treatment.) He seems good at what he does, just wish he would have been kinder in his delivery.
I went in with a c4/c5 injury and a paralyzed left arm. Dr.Gieger was amazing. It's been 90 days and my arm is coming back and I am relatively pain free. I had anterior cervical spine fusion. I cannot thank him enough.
