When I arrived the receptionist was very pleasant. Dr Michael Dowd is very knowledgeable in his expertise. I’m very happy.
My girlfriend's grandmother, Lorraine Simpson, recently had complex surgery on her left arm. She had consulted other specialist beforehand who would not operate but Dr Dowd did a wonderful job! The surgery improved overall mobility and function of the arm. She cannot recommend Dr Dowd enough!
I can't stop talking about how good my experience was with Mr.Dowd and Somerset Private hospital. I had biteral carpal tunnel release surgery done 2 weeks ago, everything was so professional, I felt so at ease which was the main thing for me as my anxiety at times can tweak. My hands after years of pain are like 2 new hands, the stitches are out and the scar has already nearly faded! Thankyou again to everyone involved. Will forever recommend this hand surgeon.

Dr Dowd done an amazing job on my broken 5th metacarpal. I had the K wires in my hand for 3 and a half weeks and he was able to take them out without another surgery within minutes. He's a great man to talk to and I felt comfortable with his extensive experience
