I am deeply disappointed to see Dr. Zerafa switch to a concierge/MDVIP model. This change feels extremely unethical and exclusionary. Requiring patients to pay a hefty annual membership fee for basic access to their primary care doctor does NOT improve healthcare for the community, it only benefits those who can afford to pay thousands out of pocket on top of insurance costs. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Zerafa for many years, as well as my wife and our two boys. My parents have been going to this practice for even longer. Dr.Zerafa is an excellent doctor. I’ve even stayed with the practice after my employer changed its health provider, leading to this office being out of network and driving my costs up.
