I have had 5 csections and dr Shockley has delivered 4/5 of them. Dr stastney (passed now) delivered my first NOW that was a horror show but I’m not here to speak ill of the dead. Dr Shockley is an amazing dr and has been through the years why do you think he stays booked? He’s always heard me out, my incisions always healed properly. Ive been going to Dr. Shockley for over ten years now and I’ve had enough. I’m concerned about the mesh he put in me after my hysterectomy but he just dismisses my concerns and has never checked it. My last visit was my last visit! I told him I didn’t feel he was listening to me when I said I wasn’t doing well on the estrogen and that none of my symptoms were any better. So he prescribed me more estrogen and his last words to me as he walk out were”humor me”!
He literally cut my wife in half for a hysterectomy. She had terrible recovery and every Dr that has seen her since has been utterly shocked at her incision. Take ur chances
Dr. Shockley is great! We have seen him for both successful pregnancies and both losses. His office is professional and caring. If I need to see him for anything, they always make time to fit me in!
I switched to Dr. Shockley after poor treatment by Casonuovo and for my pregnancy they were terrific. However after an emergency cesarean (which was a horror story itself) his poor wound care choices led to a mrsa infection of my incision that led to emergency surgery by another doctor and Dr Shockleys staff was so uncaring it was unbelievable. Further investigation showed medical negligence however I have chosen to not sue at this point but be warned that post operative care is severely lacking
Dr. Shockley has treated my very complex endometriosis for 18 years. He delivered all 3 of my children and is an amazing doctor. He's intelligent and caring. As my daughter is growing up, I've even asked questions about what an appointment would be like for her. He explained the least invasive exam methods he would use. He also always knows the most up to date information to keep you informed.
Dr Shockley is fantastic! He's efficient and very smart. He explains exactly what is going on in your body, even after pregnancy. Which I love. He will also address non-OBGYN problems if it comes up. He's a great doctor.
Excellent doctor!!! I switched to him after a YEAR of pain and suffering with no answers with Dr. Stanley, Dr. Shockley took the time to show me pictures of what he saw wrong and scheduled me for surgery to fix my problem. 3 weeks after 1st appointment, surgery was scheduled and ALL my pain is gone!! I would recommend him to everyone!
Absolutely PHENOMENAL doctor! His office is run like clockwork. He cares about his patients and is very personable. I've never had longer than a 15 minute wait to be called back to be seen. That's astonishing compared to the other popular OBGYN in Parkersburg. Dr. Shockley saw me EVERY SINGLE TIME that I had an appointment during my pregnancy. (And I wasn't even high risk) If I called the office with a worry, I always was able to speak to a nurse. I NEVER got the voice mailbox. A+++++
