Dr. Thomas has always been great to our family, Between my husband & I we have 5 daughters. He takes great care of us all! I have been super impressed by his loyalty & love for our family. Thankful we still have great doctors out here!

I have been a patient of Dr Thomas for over 20 years. Sadly my family will be leaving this practice ASAP. It is clear that he is ready to retire. He no longer cares about his patients. The visits are rushed. Lakeside used to be the small town office where everyone took the time to make you feel like you mattered. I realize the pressure is on from insurance companies and Novant. But he has misdiagnosed something for every member of my family over the past year. And the wait is too long.
Dr. Thomas is patient, understanding, and correctly diagnosed my issue.
A couple of years ago he misdiagnosed a case of shingles as possible gallstones. He sent me to get a CAT scan that cost me $2000. I went back in to the office and saw another doctor at the same facility and she immediately saw a rash and recognized shingles. i asked for my money back for the office visit to Dr. Thomas and was refused. It was not that much but his misdiagnosis cost me a bundle, not to mention an addition couple of days of severe pain by lack of pain management script.
Dr. Thomas has taken care of my parents for the last 10 years and simply put he is awesome. He is wonderfully patient and kind. He takes time to listen and understand. He has been easily available to help me and my parents.
If you ask any questions or specialist referral during your annual check-up, Dr. Thomas will charge you for an office visit in addition to the check-up. It was not like this until 2015. Seems cares now more about money than patient care.
