It was my first appointment with him. I was describing an epidural steroid injection guided by xray, previously done elsewhere and all said they did not know what that is. I am a little nervous.
In my years of experience with physicians, this was the first time I actually didn’t feel safe during an appointment. Dr Egar was aggressive & adversarial during my office visit when I began to question his conclusions. My husband was with me and also witnessed Dr Egar’s unprofessionalism. When I asked about a cervical MRI ordered by my PCP (& not by him), he became visibly angry and said I “blind-sighted” him with new symptoms (even though we discussed these at a previous appointment). I went in just to be lied to. He said my MRI showed nothing, so I went to the hospital got my MRI results and there was definitely something wrong he lied to me
While Dr. Eager came highly recommended for his bedside manner and care, I found him to be aloof and non caring. The procedure did not work and he nor his staff seemed to care. The procedure was more like a factory setting as the nurses joked about how many procedures he tried to do in a day. He knew during the procedure there was an issue, yet never acknowledged his error or even spoke following the procedure. He had to move on to the next patient.
