Went in for a cleaning.
The dentist isn't the worst but he is certainly not the best. He seems to rush through the procedure, but at the same time tries to make awkward small talk that's feel forced and scripted, and honestly just makes you feel more uncomfortable. But the real problem here are the staff. Beware the older lady here who works the front desk. Condescending, rude and complete denies any of it if you raise the issue. This place will not treat you well.
After having been through series of horrible dental offices in the Santa Maria, I came here, with one last hope for a decent dental office in the area. And that last hope was promptly crushed. The older, woman who works the front desk and answers the phone is crass, unprofessional, and above all, apathetic to your concerns. This lack of care seems to be a trend in this town. I have been a patient of Dr. Lanes for over 15 years. He is always honest and shows genuine care for his patients. Do to unforeseen issues with my health insurance I had to go to another dentist for 2 years. During this time I received the worst care. In fact, it led to me having to have an implant. I was able to transfer back to Dr. Lanes. I couldn’t of been more grateful. He supported me while I was upset due to the fact that the work from the other dentist led to this implant.
