My elderly mother recently fell and broke her hip. It was repaired surgically by Dr Brewster. Post op she began having increased pain and swelling in the leg. She had a follow up visit where she was only offered different pain meds. It got worse and she went to the ER where they did x-rays but nothing to address the issue. Years ago the guy sold me on a cartiva implant. It has been a nightmare since then. He refused to remove and fix it or refund. I just saw a third doctor who showed me what a mess this guy made. X rays show my tow is crooked with bone spurs and calcium deposits because of this scam implant. This procedure has dropped out of favor and they even make a repair kit for what Brewster did. I do not believe these reviews. He was terrible. Still in pain. 3 doctors told me my surgery must be redone. I have met with others with the same feelings about him and his work.
Well it has been 2 years. Pain is horrible and he could care less. Have 3 opinions saying it is a mess and must be redone. These stars must be coached based on others I have spoke with. Look at U.C.L.A stupid called,When Cartiva Fails. Wish I had seen it first. Never told me it has to be redone every 5 to 10 years. Just get a fusion.
Dr. Brewster is a magnificent dr. I had a fractured femur that was complex his procedure left minimal scaring and pain. In fact my daughter also broke 7 bones in her foot and terrible tendon damage I took her to see him and he said surgery was the last option, her foot has healed and we can't believe you cant see any damage. All her bones are completely Inlinged they healed perfectly. I highly recommend him if you have any doubts of what you should do.
Dr. Brewster has been doing an amazing job in getting me back walking after years of severe osteoarthritis.
Saw Dr Brewster for Cartiva implant in Feb 2017 had first toe done, on April 26 had second toe done. Wonderful doctor addresses your concerns , wonderful personality and top notch compassion for his patients. I personally will never let anyone else touch my feet problems. Highly recommend Dr Brewster !
