On my visit to the ER, I explained to him some of my difficulties of late, and he suggested that I was making it up (after the hospital and police refused several requests for testing for a period of several years). I have rather recently been diagnosed with SLE (Lupus) from toxic exposures within my community. A definitely not made up reaction to everything that I had told him that I had been going through.
If you have to go to the emergency room, I hope you get a doctor as wonderful as Dr. Spates. Not just a really good doctor, but a top notch human being too. Thankful for such good care when I was far from home and needed to be seen for an eye injury.
They don't come any better than him. We can't say enough about him. Very caring doctor.
